Optimal Scheduling of Dynamic Pricing Based V2G and G2V Operation in Microgrid Using Improved Elephant Herding Optimization

The unpredictable nature of the loads and non-linearity components microgrid systems make optimal scheduling more complex. In this paper, a deterministic load-scheduling problem is developed for microgrids operating in both islanding grid-connected mode under different energy scenarios. Various cases are considered research, based on interaction dynamic behavior microgrid, considering electric vehicles (EVs) scenario. aim research to minimize overall cost operations. concept pricing has also been introduced order optimize consumers. For ensuring stability microgrids, load variance index considered, fuzzy-based approach used minimization reduce operation without compromising microgrid. grid-to-vehicle (G2V) vehicle-to-grid (V2G) operations EVs integrated into which would help valley filling peak shaving during off-peak hours, respectively. solve proposed complex combinatorial optimization problem, elephant herding (EHO) modified implemented. performance improved EHO (IEHO) first tested latest CEC test functions. results obtained by IEHO after 100 trials compared with published methods found be better average value standard deviation addition, simulation particle swarm (PSO), EHO, system scenarios all reveal that model mix resources dispatch environment bring maximum benefits systems. Furthermore, from verifies if free trade power allowed between main grid, process generation can economical, further introduction scenario proves even cheaper. implementation G2V V2G not only helped but stabilizing grid.
